In 2022, I participated in Yale Sculpture’s Hidden Truths course taught by Desmond Lewis. In his words, “Creating a mold for metal casting requires hiding something away that is then, almost magically, re-revealed through the forces of applied heat.” Below are a series of pieces and experiences from casting molten aluminum and iron.
